Brooks Atkinson Theatre

Originally named the Mansfield Theatre, the venue opened in 1926, with the theatre later named the Brooks Atkinson after the New York Times critic. The name change marked Broadway history as the first venue to honour a journalist.

There is no dress code for performances at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Latecomers are allowed in at the discretion of the House Manager, who will then be escorted to their seats.

Looking for refreshments at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre? Drinks and snacks are available at the bar in the main lobby. Drinks are allowed in the auditorium, as long as they have a lid.
