The Hayes Theater

Built in 1912, the theatre’s original capacity of 299 seats was seen as a direct attack on commercial playhouses that could accommodate thousands of patrons. Originally named the Little, the theatre was renamed in 1983 to the Helen Hayes Theater, after the American actress, shortened to the Hayes in 2015.

There is no dress code for performances at the Hayes Theater. Latecomers are allowed in convenient seat locations at the discretion of management.

Looking for refreshments at the Hayes Theater? There are drinks and snacks located at bars around the venue.
