Previously named the Biltmore Theatre, the Samuel J. Friedman was opened in 1925. Since opening, the seating capacity has decreased from over 900 to 650 patrons.

There is no dress code for performances at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Latecomers are allowed in convenient seat locations at the discretion of management.
