Buy The Hobbit tickets for Manchester Palace Theatre run

Wednesday, 19th May 2010

Theatregoers with a love for the work of JRR Tolkien should consider buying The Hobbit tickets for the show's run in Manchester.

Directed by Roy Marsden and adapted by Glyn Robbins - who has previously worked on the stage shows of CS Lewis classics such as The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - the show is heading to the Palace Theatre for just six days.

It will open on May 25th and finish on May 30th 2010, with The Hobbit tickets still available for the evening performances, as well as two matinee shows on the 26th and 29th.

The production follows the adventures of young Bilbo Baggins, whose life is transformed from its usual serenity when Gandalf the Sorcerer chooses him to reclaim the kingdom and treasures of the dwarves.

The theatre's website has described the production as being perfect for Hobbit fans of all ages, giving them the chance to "enjoy the sights, sounds and excitement of the best selling fantasy novel ever written".
