Cee Lo Green tour may appeal to Glee fans

Thursday, 23rd Dec 2010

Fans of Glee may now be planning to see the forthcoming Cee Lo Green tour after the artist's track Forget You was used on the show.

Performed by Gwyneth Paltrow, who was playing the role of supply teacher Holly Holiday, Green told Spinner that he enjoyed her rendition.

"I was pleasantly surprised, I really was. I had no idea that she was a vocalist at all. She did a great job," the Gnarls Barkley singer told the publication.

He added that he through the Oscar-winner's version of the song was "very sexy".

Although the show is best known for using tracks from musicals and acts like Journey, Green said that he hopes his involvement will get more acts to consider allowing their songs to be used on the programme.

He explained that he thought it was "fun" and found it very flattering that he was even approached, let alone to have his song performed by a Hollywood star.

Those with concert tickets to his UK tour in March 2011 will have the chance to sing along themselves to his number one hit and other tracks from his album The Lady Killer.
