David McGranaghan Among New Cast Members of Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre

Edd Post Moves Up in the Show Whilst Ryan Molloy and Jon Boydon Remain in Their Roles Among the Upheaval

A major cast overhaul of Jersey Boys has been announced this week, which will see David McGranaghan take on the role of Nick Massi, Edd Post change from Swings to Bob Gaudio and Ryan Molloy and Jon Boydon remain as Frankie Valli and Tommy DeVito respectively.

The new cast will take effect from Tuesday 12th March 2013 and alongside those mentioned above Jon Lee will portray Frankie Valli on certain performances alongside additional cast members Will Barratt, Nicola Brazil, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Ben Evans, Chris Gardner, Lucinda Gill, Mark Halliday, Mark Isherwood, Rebecca Jayne Davies, Ben Jennings, Stuart King, Lucy Martin, Stuart Milligan, Jake Samuels, Michael Watson, Ben Wheeler and Gemma Whitelam.

Jersey Boys is the show running at the Prince Edward Theatre that chronicles the rise of the band Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It tells the story of their early days and their eventual rise to the top of Vee Jay Labels with hit songs like December, 1963 (Oh What A Night); Sherry; Walk Like A Man; My Eyes Adored You and more. These songs are among the various hits that make up the musical numbers of the high profile musical, which opened in the West End in 2008.

From Tuesday 12th March 2013 those with theatre tickets will see David McGranaghan in the role Nick Massi and this is on the back of work that includes Chariots of Fire at the Gielgud Theatre, The Taming Of The Shrew for the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Wizard Of Oz at the Royal Festival Hall, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, among others. He also appeared onscreen in the likes of Bridget Jones’s Diary and Gulliver’s Travels.

Edd Post, who has so far been portraying Swing in the West End show, previously appeared in the UK touring version of We Will Rock You.

Jersey Boys remains at its home of the Prince Edward Theatre where it is currently booking to March 2014. It celebrates its fifth birthday in the capital on Tuesday 26th March 2013.
