Doctor Who Live theatre tickets on sale this week

Tuesday, 18th May 2010

Doctor Who Live theatre tickets are set to go on sale at the end of this week, giving fans of the BBC One show the chance to see daleks, cybermen and oods in the flesh - or metal.

The stage version of the ever-popular TV show will call in at nine locations across the UK, including the London Wembley, Manchester Evening News and Belfast Odyssey arena.

Although it will not feature the likes of Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, Doctor Who Live promises to stay true to the series - it has been developed by the show's head writer and executive producer Stephen Moffat.

"This is everything I ever wanted since I was eleven," Mr Moffat commented. "I'll be writing scenes for it and probably attending every single night."

People with Doctor Who Live theatre tickets will also be able to enjoy music from Murray Gold, the programme's long-time composer.

Doctor Who Live theatre tickets go on sale on May 21st 2010 at 09:00 BST and the show will open at Wembley on October 8th.
