Returning to the West End once more, Jason Donovan has been announced to star in the upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as the Pharaoh.

Donovan made his West End debut in 1991, taking on the lead role as Joseph at the Palladium opposite Linzi Hateley as the narrator. During his time as Joseph, he was nominated for an Olivier Award for best actor in a musical and also released a single of one of the musical’s most famous songs "Any Dream Will Do", which reached the top spot in the UK music charts in 1991.

Fans around the world may know him from his performance in Australian soap opera Neighbours, as well as starring in West End productions of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Donovan joins Sheridan Smith, previously announced as the Narrator, with further casting yet to be announced.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is at the London Palladium for 11 weeks, so you’ll want to book your tickets now to make sure you don’t miss out!
