Kylie Minogue performs surprise pub gig
Regulars at a pub in Somerset got a surprise at the weekend when Kylie Minogue gave a performance.
The Australian singer sang some of her most famous tracks in the Ring O' Bells pub in Compton Martin as a favour to her record company Parlophone.
Miles Leonard, the boss of the international company, lives in the town and asked the owners of the establishment if a series of gigs could be performed there as part of a day out for 120 members of his staff.
While acts including Tinnie Tempah and Eliza Doolittle were known to guests, when Kylie took to the stage at 22:30 BST it came as a pleasant shock.
Landlady Lauren Goddard told the Express: "We were sworn to secrecy and didn't even tell the staff until 30 minutes before the doors opened."
Many fans of the diminutive star may be hoping that she will soon tour in support of her latest album Aphrodite, with new single Get Outta My Way scheduled for release on September 27th.
