Kylie plans 2011 world tour

Monday, 24th May 2010

Pop star Kylie Minogue has revealed she is planning to go on a world tour in 2011.

The Australian singer said she is hoping to hit the road next year and take in a few South American countries such as Brazil.

Speaking to the Metro, Kylie revealed that she was "sprung into action" after last year's highly successful tour of the US, as the fans there had been "amazing".

The former Neighbours star also revealed that she would love to put in an appearance at a UK festival.

Kylie had been due to perform at Glastonbury back in 2005, but was forced to pull out after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis.

"I really want to do a festival," she commented.

The star has notched up plenty of hits during her 20-year career, including I Should Be So Lucky, Can't Get You Out of My Head and Better the Devil You Know, as well as more recent smashes such as In Your Eyes.

If Kylie does take to the road next year, fans can expect to be treated to plenty of her biggest hits, along with tracks from her brand new album Aphrodite.
