Lamb gig in London seeing high demand for tickets

Tuesday, 18th Jan 2011

The forthcoming Lamb gig in London is seeing a huge level of demand as fans try to catch the band live.

Manchester-based duo Andy Barlow and Lou Rhodes have so far scheduled just two dates in the UK this year, with a performance at the capital's Shepherd's Bush Empire booked in for May 6th 2011.

Commenting on their website ahead of the show, the pair stated that the location is an "awesome venue" and they "can't wait to play again".

Fans with concert tickets for the trip-hop band, who released their self-titled debut in 1996, are currently eagerly awaiting the release of their fifth record, which is to be named 5.

It will be their first record since Between Darkness and Wonder hit the shelves back in 2003.

Best known for their track Gorecki, which peaked at number 30 in the UK charts in 1997, the group won many new fans after Baz Lurhman sampled the lyrics from the song in his 2001 film Moulin Rouge.
