The Cabaret Star Set to Appear in Three Special Shows in June 2011

London theatre audiences will still get the opportunity to witness cabaret star Meow Meow onstage this June as the talented performer announces three shows later in the month under the title “Meow Meow in Concert”. The one woman cabaret show will be the latest in a long run of shows that have featured the performer live onstage and it is likely that there will be plenty hoping to pick up Theatre Tickets to witness the action first hand.

Meow Meow is one of the most acclaimed cabaret acts in the world whose work has been seen on all corners of the globe. In the capital she has previously been seen in shows such as “La Clique” at the London Hippodrome, “La Soiree” at the South Bank Big Top and, currently, in “The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg” which continues at the Gielgud Theatre until Saturday 21st May 2011. She has also appeared in the likes of “Feline Intimate” at the Edinburgh International Festival last year and “Meow Meow Beyond Glamour: The Absinthe Tour” at the Soho Theatre. Such appearances have earned her an abundance of awards and nominations around the world.

“Meow Meow in Concert” is also set to see her re-team with Lance Horne, who will provide the musical direction, and arrives at the Apollo Theatre following the run of “Blithe Spirit” from June.

Those wishing to witness the work of Meow Meow can currently head to the Gielgud Theatre where she is starring in the production “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg”. The show also stars Joanna Riding – recently cast in “Lend Me a Tenor the Musical” – as Madame Emery, the mother of Genevieve Emery, the latter of whom vows to stay with her love interest Guy Fouchier even when he is drafted to serve combat in Algeria. But her heart is torn between this vow and the offer of comfort from a wealthy man who can provide for her during her newfound pregnancy.

“Meow Meow in Concert” is at the Apollo Theatre for three performances from Thursday 23rd June 2011 to Saturday 25th June 2011.
