Nicholas Lyndhurst to join cast of Man of La Mancha

Thursday, 31st Jan 2019

The upcoming production of Man of La Mancha will revive the musical adaptation of Don Quixote to the West End for the first time since it was originally performed in 1968.

Set in medieval Spain, the musical follows the story of Miguel de Cervantes, a writer who finds himself in jail during the Spanish Inquisition. Determined to improve his life, he dons a knight’s outfit in a quest to serve his country, travelling across the country with his trusty yet comedic sidekick Sancho Panza.

Joining a previously announced cast including Kelsey Grammer and Danielle de Niese, Nicholas Lyndhurst will star in the production, playing the roles of the Innkeeper and the Captain. Best known for playing Rodney Trotter in the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses, Man of La Mancha will be added to a long list of theatre credits including Carousel and The Tempest.

Cassidy Janson has also been named in the newest casting announcement, who will share the roles of Aldonza and Dulcinea with Danielle de Niese.

Man of La Mancha will open at the London Coliseum on 26th April 2019, with tickets available now.
