Petula Clark

Flying into the West End in the final few months of the year, there’s already a buzz building around the revival of Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Further casting has been announced for the production, to join the previously named Zizi Strallen in the title role and Charlie Stemp as Bert.

Legendary singer and stage actress Petula Clark will play the role of the Bird Woman, marking the performer’s first appearance in the West End for over two decades. Best known for her chart topping hits including “Downtown” and “This is My Song”, Clark made her West End debut in the 1980s as Maria von Trapp in The Sound Of Music, later starring in Sunset Boulevard.

Joseph Millson will play Mr. Banks, last singing in the West End as Raoul in Love Never Dies. An award-winning actor, he has starred in London productions of Apologia, Mr Foote’s Other Leg and Macbeth.

Mary Poppins tickets at the Prince Edward Theatre are available now.
