Richard III tickets popular with Kevin Spacey fans

Tuesday, 1st Feb 2011

Fans of Kevin Spacey are eagerly snapping up Richard III tickets to see the actor portray one of Shakespeare's most famous characters.

The play is set to be produced at the Old Vic theatre in London as part of the Bridge Project, which has seen the venue team up with the Brooklyn Academy of Music to stage a variety of productions.

This new version of the historical play will be a star-studded affair, as not only is creative director of the Old Vic Spacey taking on the lead role, the production will also be directed by Sam Mendes.

Both men may be hoping that their union will be as successful as when they worked together on the film American Beauty, as it won them both Oscars for their work.

Richard III is set to open for people with London theatre tickets for previews on June 18th 2011, with the full opening taking place on June 29th.

It is scheduled to run until September 11th.
