Bat Out of Hell The Musical - Dominion Theatre

At the end of 2017 we first got word that Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical, Jim Steinman’s epic musical based on his and Meat Loaf’s album of the same name, would be making a high profile return to the capital in 2018.

Following its successful run at the London Coliseum, the show is now set to run at the Dominion Theatre, the former home of shows like We Will Rock You, and in doing so it will bring a host of performers with it.

Now the show has issued a new press release, this time detailing the full cast coming to the West End and joining the previously announced Andrew Polec and Christina Bennington. Those names include Rob Fowler, who is set to play Falco alongside co-stars like Sharon Sexton, Alex Thomas-Smith, Danielle Steers, Wayne Robinson, Giovanni Spanó and Patrick Sullivan.

Like many jukebox musicals, Bat Out Of Hell utilises the iconic songs from the album, whilst telling an original story. That story takes audiences into a post-apocalyptic future, which is a wasteland called Obsidian, inhabited by characters like Strat, Raven, Galco and Sloane, amongst others. Strat has fallen in love with Falco’s daughter, Raven, which could spell trouble as Falco is a despotic ruler of the land.

Many performers return to the show from its previous appearances in Manchester and the Coliseum and one of those is actor Rob Fowler, who plays Falco. As well as Bat Out Of Hell, Fowler has also appeared in The Rocky Horror Show on tour in Europe, in addition to a host of other shows in the UK and beyond.

In joining Bat Out Of Hell, he is also accompanied by additional cast members like Simon Gordon, Jordon Gage (both alternate Strats), Kyle Anthony, Emily Benjamin, Christopher Cameron, Georgia Carling, Natalie Chua, Jonathan Cordin, Rob Copeland, Hannah Ducharme, Isaac Edwards, Collette Guitart, Eric Hallengren, Vicki Manser, Rhianne-Louise McCaulsky, Aston Newman Hannington, Eve Norris, Joseph Peacock, Kyle Roberts, Craig Ryder, Dawnita Smith, Courtney Stapleton, Julie Stark, Charlotte Anne Steen and Sam Toland.

Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical runs at the Dominion Theatre from Monday 2nd April 2018.
