Robert Plant announces UK tour

Wednesday, 7th Jul 2010
Music fans look set to snap up Robert Plant tickets after the rock legend announced details of a UK tour.

The former Led Zeppelin frontman will kick off his jaunt around the country with a gig at the HMV Forum in London on September 2nd.

He will then call at Cardiff and Birmingham, before rounding off the mini-tour at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.

His group will assume the name Band of Joy, the moniker used by the band he was in before he joined Led Zeppelin.

Plant has enjoyed considerable success and critical acclaim in recent years, as his collaboration with Alison Krauss proved to be a big hit.

However, he has so far resisted efforts to get Led Zeppelin back on the road, despite a one-off reunion gig at the O2 Arena three years ago.

This latest tour will promote his brand new studio album, which is also called Band of Joy.
