Again - Trafalgar Studio Two

The Trafalgar Studios welcomes an array of interesting shows in 2018, with the larger Studio 1 space currently presenting The Grinning Man, based on Victor Hugo’s The Man Who Laughs, and the smaller Studio 2 space housing Strangers In Between.

However, all eyes will soon be on the new play from Stephanie Jacob, titled again, which premieres at Trafalgar Studios 2 in February. The show is an intimate portrayal of an estranged family and cast members have now been revealed for the upcoming production.

Rosie Day is amongst them as she takes on the role of Izzy, with the rest of the cast including the likes of Chris Larkin, Natasha Little and Charles Reston. They will work under the direction of Hannah Price.

Jacob’s play focuses on the meeting of family members in a make-or-break event. They were once a family with close bonds but have since become estranged and Again will explore this reunion onstage.

Rosie Day, as Izzy, heads to the Trafalgar Studios with an array of credits to her name both on the stage and on the screen. To many audiences she is perhaps most recognisable for her parts in television series Outlander and Living The Dream, though she has made regular appearances on London’s stages. Her credits include Les Misérables at the Palace Theatre in 2006, Spur Of The Moment at the Royal Court Theatre in 2010, Pussy Riot at the Royal Court Theatre in 2012 and Velocity at the Finborough Theatre in 2014, amongst others.

Of course before Again opens at the Trafalgar Studios, audiences will have Strangers In Between to enjoy. Tommy Murphy’s play has been seen in his home country of Australia a decade ago and was staged at the King’s Head in 2016. Now it comes to the Trafalgar Studios, where audiences can witness the story of a gay man looking for a positive future in Sydney. It stars Roly Botha, Dan Hunter and Stephen Connery-Brown.

That production runs at the Trafalgar Studios 2 until Saturday 3rd February 2018, with Again playing from Friday 9th February 2018 (previews from Tuesday 6th February 2018).
