Tom Jones added to Latitude festival bill

Friday, 2nd Jul 2010
People with tickets for this year's Latitude festival are to be treated to a set from Tom Jones.

The Welsh music legend will perform on Thursday July 15th at midnight on what organisers have described as a secluded and magical stage.

Jones will take the opportunity to showcase material from his brand new album Praise and Blame, which comes out on July 26th.

Commenting on the LP, the veteran entertainer said: "It's food for thought - it's real, it's natural and in that sense, it's truly me."

Jones has carved up a formidable reputation in the music business over the last 45 years, notching up hits such as Delilah, What's New Pussycat?, It's Not Unusual and Sex Bomb.

He has continued to score chart entries in recent years and even hit the top spot with a charity version of Islands in the Stream, which was recorded for Comic Relief last year.
