The Old Vic has just over 1,000 seats on 3 levels: The Stalls, the Dress Circle and the Lilian Baylis Circle. The Stalls stretch back from row A to X with a seats running from 4 to 35 across, with the Dress Circle stretching from row A to E with seats from 4 to 34. The Lilian Baylis Circle stretches from row A to G with seats from 2 to 36 across. This makes for a total of 1,067 seats on 3 levels.

Once patrons have entered the foyer the Box Office is found on the right and to get to the Stalls they must travel down 7 steps from here (please note there are no handrails to the stalls). To get to the Dress Circle there are more than 20 steps going up and this double to gain access to the Lilian Baylis Circle.

There are two entrances to the Old Vic: one on The Cut and the other on Waterloo Road, which is an accessible entrance. In 2019, 'Penny', an accessible basement cafe and bar was opened, offering drinks, sandwiches and snacks.
