Harold Pinter Theatre, London

Formerly known as the Comedy Theatre, the theatre was changed to the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2011 after the legendary playwright. Celebrating his works, Jamie Lloyd has directed a lengthy Pinter at the Pinter season, with some of the West End’s biggest stars treading the board to perform his exquisite plays.

The first show to perform at the venue was The Mascotte in 1881, paving the way for hotly anticipated shows to premiere in the West End. In 1956, Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge made its premiere performance in Theatreland. In fact, the Harold Pinter Theatre was one of the first venues to have a billing of shows with relaxed, comedic productions once stage restrictions and censorship issues were finally lifted.

From productions of The Rocky Horror Show to Oslo and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, the Harold Pinter Theatre has been home to a diverse, engaging range of shows.
