The world will know about Newsies now that the award-winning Disney musical is making its long-awaited U.K. debut. Book London Theatre Week Newsies tickets on Box Office.
Newsies tells the story of a group of young newsboys who work for the powerful newspaper magnate Joseph Pulitzer. When they realize they’re being mistreated, they decide to strike and fight for not only their rights, but also those of all young workers. This staging of their strike, inspired by a true story, is set to memorable songs by Alan Menken including "Seize the Day," “Santa Fe,” and "King of New York."
Newsies is also known for its high-energy choreography, which London audiences can see up close at this “thrillingly immersive show, with the audience seated on three sides,” hails London Theatre. The actors dance, sing, and fly all around the intimate Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, transporting audiences into 1899 New York. Newsies won Best Choreography at the 2023 Olivier Awards.
This story of courage and determination is family-friendly and inspires viewers of all ages to stand up for what is right. Join the newsies and seize the day. Book tickets to Newsies on Box Office.
