Start your journey to the sky with a stop at the incredible 4D cinema where immersive, multi-sensory special effects bring the unique history of The Blackpool Tower to life in an exciting moving motion picture, thrilling both kids and adults alike!

Before ascending 380 ft into the sky, walk along the ‘Timeline’ showcasing the unique history and heritage of The Blackpool Tower, then take the thrilling 90 second lift to the top of The Blackpool Tower where you can see out to the steel girders and panoramic views of Blackpool and the iconic Comedy carpet below.

With 360 degree views, on a clear day you can drink in the breath-taking views across the Irish Sea, see as far as the Lake District and even the Trough of Bowland.

If you really are a thrill seeker, face your fears and stride out onto the Skywalk; a floor to ceiling glass viewing platform where you can gaze down at the famous Golden Mile Promenade way below your feet, walk out if you dare onto the five-centimetre thick glass viewing platform!

Your adventure doesn’t end there however, ascend a further two more levels to experience a truly unique and beautiful view of the coastline, reaching a height of almost 500ft in the air!

Run time

You are welcome to stay however long you want within The Blackpool Tower Eye. Please be aware that once you exit the Ballroom you will not be allowed re-admittance on the same ticket.

Important information

With all COVID-19 restrictions ending in England on 24 Feb 2022, the priority is to continue to offer the best possible experience to guests whilst ensuring to also look after the staff. There are hygiene and safety measures in place throughout the attraction, including enhanced cleaning, hand sanitiser and increased ventilation. For indoor attractions, key walkways or busier areas, guests may still see signage stating ‘Face Coverings Recommended’ which is in line with public health guidance. Staff who wish to continue wearing a face covering whilst working have the option to do so.

If you or your party display any symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive, we ask that you do not visit.

Disabled Access The Blackpool Tower Eye and 4D Cinema can accommodate all guests with a disability, with the exception of guests using mobility scooters. However, complimentary wheelchairs are available. Guests should be aware that the 4D Cinema may startle guide dogs, due to the sound level of the film. Please note that the 4D Cinema is a highly sensory experience, using a number of effects including strobe lighting, sound, wind, rain, snow, vibrating floors, and various moving lights. Once at the 4D Cinema this can be bypassed by speaking to a member of staff and exiting through the back of the cinema.
