Their specially curated setlist fuses the emotive energy of gospel with the magic of musical theatre and film soundtracks, the richness of soul, and the groove of R&B.
Highlights include The Lion King’s “Circle of Life” - which the choir recorded with Elton John for the classic 1994 Disney film - as well as beloved numbers from musicals such as Rent and The Color Purple, “Joyful, Joyful” from Sister Act 2, “Shackles (Praise You)” by Mary Mary, and tributes to icons like Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. The evening promises two things: big vocals and big feelings - all in one of London’s most unique live music venues, beautifully bathed in candlelight.
Founded in 1982, the London Community Gospel Choir has collaborated with music legends including Madonna and Paul McCartney, graced stages such as the Royal Albert Hall, and performed at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
