Winter 2027 Later in the year, British Nigerian writer Oladipo Agboluaje’s (New Nigerians) new political family drama The Adeyemis – A Family Saga will have its world premiere in the Dorfman theatre, with Lucian Msamati (Amadeus) making his National Theatre directing debut and three-time Emmy winning actor Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) also making her National Theatre debut in the role of Helen. Drawing on the richness of Oladipo’s acclaimed 1997 play Iya-Ile – The First Wife, this new play expands the original with a continuation of the story into one epic family drama. The Adeyemis – A Family Saga follows the fortunes of a wealthy, but troubled clan through a turbulent period in Nigeria's recent history Further artistic team, casting, performance dates, and on sale to be announced.
